Review:
What a great story! Heather always knows how to wrap you up in a story! Sara is the type of person I would like to be. Always prepared and ready for anything. When the worst actually happens, Sara believes she is prepared and heads to the safety of her familys bunker. What she doesn't take into consideration is that she didn't fill her gas tank and the highway is a parking lot.
Dane realizes something is going on when he sees the news and heads back to his cabin in the woods. He wasn't expecting to find a lost woman there. Taking Sara back to his cabin is the right thing to do. Sara knows the fate of her family is in her hands. Trust is not an option.
LOVE it! This is a short read and I have to say it really makes you wonder. I would love to have more from this couple! Enjoy!

“Welcome, everyone, to the first season of Treasure Trekkers, the show that will have you racing for treasures in caches hidden around the New York metropolitan area as well as the lower Hudson Valley.” He paused to smile for the camera a moment before continuing on. “You never know what surprise you’ll find in the next cache. Perhaps you’ll find money, or a fantastic trip for two. Maybe you’ll even find the keys to a new car!”
The contestants cheered. Even Paige who was normally pretty quiet and reserved cheered at the idea of being able to win really awesome prizes along the way without having to win the whole show. Even with Cassidy as her teammate, the chances of winning the adventure show were pretty slim for two girls who weren’t exactly athletic or outdoorsy. Winning a few prizes could go a long way to making Paige more comfortable in life. Her salary as a freelance graphic artist covered the bills, but little else. But at least she could take time off whenever she wanted.
“Speaking of surprises, we’re starting off the show with a big one.” Spencer motioned for Cassidy to come and stand beside him instead of off to the side where she had been next to Chip. “I’m sure most of you have already noticed that one of our teams of two is currently a team of one. But not for long.”
Paige felt her insecurity creeping up into her cheeks. She hated being the center of attention. Why had she ever agreed to come on this new show? Was a free trip, an interesting experience, and time spent with her good friend really worth all this?
Spencer gestured to her. “Paige has been patiently waiting for her teammate to show up and here she is with me. Cassidy, why don’t you tell everyone why you’re here with me instead of over there with your teammate.”
Cassidy glanced around the small gathering, smiling as she found the spot where Evan stood filming. Then her eyes met Paige’s quickly before settling back on Spencer.
“Well, um, there’s been a little change of plans.”
What change of plans? No one spoke to me about any changes and I’ve been here all day.
“I was supposed to run the race with Paige.” Cassidy caught Paige’s gaze again, her expression clearly apologetic for what she was about to say. “But I’m sorry. I can’t run the race with you.”
Can’t run the race? I can’t run it alone.
“And why is that?” Spencer asked even though he absolutely had to already know the answer. But America didn’t and neither did Paige.
How? Why? What could possibly make it okay for Cassidy to think she could abandon Paige at the last minute like this? Her chest tightened at the thought of having to run it alone. Or drop out before they even started.
Damn. Getting voted out in the third round on The One was bad enough, but now she was about to be kicked off in the first episode of a show where everyone was supposed to compete until the end. This wasn’t fair.

Paige got her book and I loved it! When Paige is asked to do another reality show this time with her best friend as her partner, she agrees. I fun race-style show to win some cash and prizes sounds like some girl-bonding time. That is until the show is about to start and her best friend can't do it. What happens when your nightmare becomes the person that you have to work with? YIKES!
Miles is the type of friend that we all want to have, secrets and all. He feels responsible for an accident and will do anything to set it right.
Heather is an amazingly talented writer and I have had the honor and privilege of working on a couple of her tours. She will continue to be one of those authors that I hunt out to make sure I have read everything that I can! She has a way of making you connect to the characters and I love that!

“Stay still, Corona,” she pleaded, patting the horse on the shoulder. She swung her leg over the horse, determined to successfully complete one dismount before the challenge ended.
Her arms shook as she lowered herself carefully from the saddle, finally giving up their fight part way down. Gravity took her the last few feet and she hit the ground with both feet, stumbling backward a step before bumping into something solid.

She found her footing and turned in his arms. She could see the dust and dirt clinging to his five o’clock shadow, his brow beaded with sweat. Instead, she pushed herself back from him and swallowed her urge to climb him like a jungle gym.

REVIEW:
I wasn't sure how I was going to like this story. I am not a fan of reality shows and the dating ones are the worst, in my opinion. However, Cassidy and Evan's story was hilarious!
Cassidy is a New York girl who, thanks to her sister, has landed a spot on the new reality show, The One. When she looks around she feels like she doesn't meet the standards that the other girls represent. She is floored when she realizes that one of the staff guys is brutally hot and can only imagine what the bachelor guy looks like. Cassidy knows it's going to be an interesting few weeks, when filming hasn't started and the claws have already come out. Zoe, the front-runner for the contest, is very condescending in her opinion that Cassidy doesn't belong in front of the camera.
Cassidy decided to do the show for the challenges and adventures. She is shocked when during the first challenge she is introduced to the bachelor and it is her ex-boyfriend, Brad! This was a blind-side she wasn't expecting, especially with the brutally hot cameraman, Evan in her line of sight.
What is a girl supposed to do when confronted with a past love and a future love at the same time? Throw in a reality show, vindictive contestants, a love triangle and you have a kick-ass story!
