REVIEW BY BRANDY! SUSTAINED BY EMMA CHASE

Blurb:
Emma Chase, New York Times bestselling author of the Tangled series, returns with a brand new funny, romantic, sexy story!

A knight in tarnished armor is still a knight.

When you’re a defense attorney in Washington, DC, you see firsthand how hard life can be, and that sometimes the only way to survive is to be harder. I, Jake Becker, have a reputation for being cold, callous, and intimidating—and that suits me just fine. In fact, it’s necessary when I’m breaking down a witness on the stand.

Complications don’t work for me—I’m a “need-to-know” type of man. If you’re my client, tell me the basic facts. If you’re my date, stick to what will turn you on. I’m not a therapist or Prince Charming—and I don’t pretend to be.

Then Chelsea McQuaid and her six orphaned nieces and nephews came along and complicated the ever-loving hell out of my life. Now I’m going to Mommy and Me classes, One Direction concerts, the emergency room, and arguing cases in the principal’s office.

Chelsea’s too sweet, too innocent, and too gorgeous for her own good. She tries to be tough, but she’s not. She needs someone to help her, defend her…and the kids.

And that—that, I know how to do.

I absolutely loved this book!  I don't normally enjoy books written from a man's perspective but I loved Jake.

Jake loves his life.  He has a clear cut path and doesn't expect any kind of deviation from it.  He keeps it simple and matter of fact.  He deals with clients that expect a man to get the job done and besides the obvious morons that keep repeating the same stupid mistakes, he does it well.  So you can imagine his surprise when he runs into a boy that is so much like him at that age it is unreal.

Chelsea McQuaid is a young woman that has her hands for.  At twenty-six she has taken guardianship of her six, count them six, nieces and nephews.  The kids all range from six months to fourteen years and while they are good kids, they still have some mischief up their sleeves.  This poor woman just longs for a little adult conversation but Jake has other ideas.  She makes it clear that she is a package deal and while Jake thinks he can handle it, he has no idea what to expect.

Picture it:  One hot, sexy lawyer + one innocent aunt + six devils in disguise = a book that I can not say enough good things about.

If you like books that make your heart flutter, your smile grow brighter and the laughter coming, then this is the book for you.

PS:  It would be wonderful if we could all take a page out of the Judge's book and change the life of a child.
