Riley McKenna is a journalist for Stiletto Magazine. Her biggest issue is all the sex she writes about is fake. She has not had sex in ten years and no one knows. Now Riley has to write a personal article. Therefore, Riley tries breaking all the years of abstinence with Sam and making that the focus of her article.
Sam Compton is a hot and sexy man who seems to spend more time with Riley’s family than his own. Sam seems to have issue with his self-esteem, which is why after tinkering with his whiskey for years he still has not looked to sell it. Sam is a hardheaded man.
The chemistry between Riley and Sam is blistering. The sex scenes were scorching. These two make a great couple if they stop playing games with each other and keep putting all there cards on the table. It came across as unrealistic.
Just One Night is the third book in the Sex, Love & Stiletto series by Lauren Layne. While this book is part of a series, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel. I found this book to be well written. This book was very slow to start but picked up as the book went along. The main and secondary characters were interesting. Overall, this was a great book. I will be keeping my eyes out for future books by Ms. Layne.
